How Trenchers and Vibratory Plows Differ
Whether you’re in the market for irrigation system installation or dealing with the aftermath of a pipe bursting, a professional is going to need to access the area underneath your landscape.
When a trencher is used, the equipment creates a deep trench in your yard to lay the materials, such as pipe and cable, underneath the soil. Once the irrigation pipes are in place, the original soil is placed back on top of the newly installed pipes.
As a result, the pipe or water lines are installed, but you’re often left with turf damage that can be quite an eyesore and take time to heal.
Instead of ripping apart your yard, vibratory plow irrigation installs the pipe and cable using an alternative method.
The equipment has a vibrator component attached to the rear of the plow. This vibrating component is fastened with a blade that cuts into the earth using quick movements to pull the materials in place underneath the soil.
Because the pipe or water lines are installed through a small incision in the ground, trenchless sprinkler installation allows for minimal damage that preserves the look of your landscape.
In short: trenchless piping using a vibratory plow is more efficient, cost-effective, and less damaging than a traditional trencher!
